Ava's 10th Birthday

Turning ten years old is an exciting milestone! Ava's mom wanted to commemorate this special time with a portrait session for her dance-loving daughter. We planned a fun shoot at Shell Beach on what turned out to be a very chilly February afternoon. But Ava was a real trouper and made not a single complaint about the cold temperature.

Ava is a mega-talented dancer who performs many styles including ballet, jazz, and hip hop. For her portrait session, her mom wanted to capture two different sides of her personality: the girly ballerina and the fierce hip hop dancer. So half-way through her shoot, we switched gears with a wardrobe and attitude change. Check out those gold sneakers!
